After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mechanicsville, Varina was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Highland Springs Springers a 3-0 shutout. Varina were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on Highland Springs, so Varina were just returning the favor.
