Softball Game Preview: Caney Creek Panthers vs. New Caney Eagles

Caney Creek is on a four-game streak of home losses, and New Caney a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Caney Creek Panthers will be playing at home against the New Caney Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Caney Creek managed to slip by College Park the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers came up short against the Cavaliers on Tuesday, falling 15-2.

Caney Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Manuel, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Cori White was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for New Caney's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to Willis, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Caney Creek's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for New Caney, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-11-2.
