League recap: Westminster gains ground in national rankings

Westminster made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,392 from 3,657. The advance stemmed from a 20-10 victory over the Wildcats last week.

Wesleyan's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Will Anderson threw for 154 yards and Christian Stark had 52 yards receiving. On the ground Miles Smith chipped in 43 yards. Jahmai Jones helped Wesleyan's passing attack out by catching five balls for 37 yards.

Wesleyan's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Anderson has thrown for 922 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Jones has 21 catches for 406 yards. Smith leads the league in rushing with 375 yards.

Hapeville Charter fell 16-14 to Clarkston in the closest game of the week.
