Softball Recap: WF West Has No Trouble Against Shelton

While WF West put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Shelton. The Bearcats put the hurt on the Highclimbers with a sharp 17-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for WF West and bumps their season record up to 10-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Shelton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. WF West will take on rival Black Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Shelton is set to square off against their familiar foe Centralia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
