Baseball Game Preview: Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties vs. Blackstone-Millville Chargers

The Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties will face off against the Blackstone-Millville Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Mount St. Charles Academy will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Mount St. Charles Academy turned things around against Winchendon on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wapiti a 7-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Blackstone-Millville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Hopedale, falling 10-4. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Chargers' highest-scoring contest to date.

Mount St. Charles Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-7-1. As for Blackstone-Millville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Mount St. Charles Academy's way against Blackstone-Millville in their previous meeting back in March, as Mount St. Charles Academy made off with an 8-1 victory.
