Softball Game Preview: Kingston Tigers vs. Pine Bush Bushmen

The Kingston Tigers will take on the Pine Bush Bushmen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Kingston is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Monroe-Woodbury just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Crusaders, falling 7-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pine Bush). They blew past Newburgh Free Academy 20-7 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bushmen, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Pine Bush has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Kingston, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
