Weddington lost to Watauga back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Pioneers. Considering the Warriors have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Weddington and bumps their season record up to 12-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Watauga, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Weddington is taking a road trip to face off against Cuthbertson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Watauga, they will be playing at home against Alexander Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
