4A Special District 1 recap November 5, 2013
Ridgeview extended the longest winning streak in 4A Special District 1 this week by beating Estacada, 46-12. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Ridgeview took down the Rangers 46-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tanner Stevens ran for 123 yards in the win.
Andy codding's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacob Johnson threw for 107 yards and Jack Bowman had 54 yards receiving. On the ground Stevens contributed 123 yards. Tanner O'Neal helped Ridgeview's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 39 yards.
Stevens provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Ravens topped Estacada. Stevens' key target this week was Bowman, who caught 2 passes for 54 yards.
Stevens was the best running back in the league this week. Tony Stanton also contributed to the rushing game with 114 yards on the ground.
Ridgeview's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Ravens feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnson has thrown for 556 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Bowman has 25 catches for 438 yards.
Ridgeview's Boomer Fleming needs only 9 yards against North Valley next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 135 carries Fleming has accumulated 991 yard this year.
Crook County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,860 from 9,123.
