Soccer Recap: Murphysboro Comes Up Short

After flying high against Harrisburg on Thursday, Murphysboro came back down to earth. The Red Devils lost 4-1 to the Lebanon Greyhounds on Saturday. Murphysboro were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of David Boudet, who's now up to 25 this season.

Murphysboro's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-3. As for Lebanon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.

Murphysboro wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Marion on the 9th. As for Lebanon, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Mater Dei on the 7th.
