Recap: Apprentice Academy Red Wolves vs. Carolina International Comets

The matchup between the Apprentice Academy Red Wolves and the Carolina International Comets on Thursday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. Apprentice Academy took a serious blow against Carolina International, falling 100-23. The loss means Apprentice Academy is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.

Despite the loss, Apprentice Academy still got an impressive performance from Radear Watson, who scored 16 points. That was a full 69.6% of Apprentice Academy's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Carolina International got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Roy Quick out in front who scored ten points along with eight assists and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Griffin, who scored 14 points along with four steals.

Apprentice Academy dropped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Carolina International, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apprentice Academy and Queen's Grant will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Carolina International, they will be playing at home against Jackson Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
