Basketball Recap: Organ Mountain Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Organ Mountain entered their tilt with Da Vinci on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 66-55 victory over the Da Vinci Dragons. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked seventh in New Mexico, while the Dragons are ranked 515th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Organ Mountain's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Pack, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points and five boards. What's more, Pack also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Lenny Washington, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Organ Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Da Vinci, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-9.

Organ Mountain has already played their next game, a 74-53 win against Clovis on the 18th. Da Vinci has also already played their next contest (against IDEA Rio Vista College Preparatory), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
