Football Game Preview: Fulshear Chargers vs. Alief Elsik Rams + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Shaan Patel and Kaden Mendenhall are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Fulshear Chargers will host the Alief Elsik Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fulshear knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Alief Elsik likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Fulshear got the win against George Ranch by a conclusive 64-42. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won six games by 22 points or more so far this season.

Fulshear can attribute much of their success to Ryland Forks, who picked up 178 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and Jaelyn Collins, who rushed for 111 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries. Forks has become a key player for the Chargers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise. Trey Clewis also helped out with an impressive 81 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fulshear was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 209 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, Alief Elsik came up short against George Ranch two weeks ago and fell 40-31. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fulshear's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Alief Elsik, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Fulshear took their win against Alief Elsik in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 42-16 score. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Mendenhall, who threw for 213 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 49 yards and one touchdown. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Chargers still be able to contain Mendenhall? There's only one way to find out.
