Soccer Game Preview: Scotus vs. Bennington

The Scotus Shamrocks will face off against the Bennington Badgers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Scotus is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Scotus will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Gretna, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Shamrocks came out on top against the Dragons by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Scotus were the better team in the second half.

They hit Gretna with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emma Brezenski, Tanner Schultz, and Izzie Kadavy.

Meanwhile, while the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Bennington who was credited with the victory on Monday. The Badgers got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Elkhorn's one. The win continues a trend for Bennington in their matchups with Elkhorn: they've now won five in a row.

Bennington's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Scotus, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
