Basketball Recap: Silex Owls vs. Veritas Christian Academy Eagles
Silex played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Veritas Christian Academy Eagles, falling 67-42. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Veritas Christian Academy was led to victory by Lusajo Kasyupa and Titus Murrell. Kasyupa went 5 for 10 on his way to 19 points in addition to six assists and six boards, while Murrell dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Kasyupa is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Markham, who posted 13 points.
