Baseball Recap: Lee Christian Victorious

Lee Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They skirted past the Central Carolina Academy Eagles 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since March 5, 2024.

Lee Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Grant, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Grant is becoming a predictor of the Falcons' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-7 when he doesn't).

Lee Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Central Carolina Academy, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Lee Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwood Temple Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Carolina Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Southern Wake Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
