Holly Grove Christian's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Seaside Christian Academy Fighting Marlins by a score of 3-1. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Fighting Marlins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 21-25, 25-20, 25-11.

Cassidy Hickman paced Holly Grove Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Hickman got some help from Bethanie Parks and her 17 assists. Araya Harrison controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Seaside Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elizabeth Hill, who had nine digs and five aces. Mia Queen was another key player, getting nine kills, six digs, and one block.

Holly Grove Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Seaside Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Holly Grove Christian has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Greenwood Mennonite on the 14th. As for Seaside Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Faith Baptist School on the 14th.
