Softball Recap: Edgerton Crimson Tide vs. Big Foot Chiefs

Edgerton had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it 12. They lost 14-2 to the Big Foot Chiefs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crimson Tide of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Edgerton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marti Rebman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

As for Big Foot, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record. Considering their hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

On Big Foot's side, Cassidy Vilona and Brooklyn Stewart did most of the damage at the plate: Vilona went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Stewart went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That RBI was Vilona's first of the season. Kate Hummel was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.
