Lackawanna waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 66-61 W against the Maryvale Flyers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Steelers also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Lackawanna's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-11. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points over those games. As for Maryvale, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Lackawanna is taking a road trip to square off against Olean at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lackawanna will be up against Olean's rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.19 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Maryvale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
