South Rowan put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 38-23 victory over the Trinity Bulldogs.

Nick Woolf Jr. went supernova, rushing for 210 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. Another rusher making a difference was Tashon Boulware, who rushed for 62 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Rowan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 290 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 192 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Another reason for the win was South Rowan's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Trinity's QB won't forget Deacon Abernathy anytime soon given he sacked him twice. South Rowan got some further help from Owen Smith: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 14 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Despite the loss, Trinity still got an impressive performance from Khad'N Fuller, who rushed for 81 yards and a pair of scores.

South Rowan's record is now 3-0. As for Trinity, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

South Rowan will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Northwest Cabarrus at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. This will be the Raiders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Trinity, they will head out to face off against Bishop McGuinness at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
