Volleyball Recap: Wabasha-Kellogg Comes Up Short

If Wabasha-Kellogg was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Plainview-Elgin-Millville last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wabasha-Kellogg came up short against Fillmore Central on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Wabasha-Kellogg was not able to make up for their defeat to Fillmore Central from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-12, 25-10.

Josie Corson was a one-woman wrecking crew For Fillmore Central. as she had 15 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Corson has posted since back in September. Lauren Dahly also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Wabasha-Kellogg dropped their record down to 6-15 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Fillmore Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Wabasha-Kellogg will take on Winona at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fillmore Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Rushford-Peterson at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
