Baseball Recap: Riverside Christian Victorious

Riverside Christian won the last time they faced Touchet and things went their way on Saturday too. The Crusaders skirted past the Redhawks 14-12. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Riverside Christian got a big performance out of Winter Bruntjen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Bruntjen also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Josh Dominguez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Bruntjen wasn't the only one making solid contact: Riverside Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The Crusaders are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Riverside Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Touchet, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Looking ahead, Riverside Christian will square off against Liberty Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Touchet, they will face off against Walla Walla Valley Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
