Softball Game Preview: Jim Ned Indians vs. Clyde Bulldogs

Jim Ned is 1-9 against Clyde since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jim Ned has three straight victories, Clyde has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Jim Ned's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Merkel 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Clyde's offense. They fell 5-0 to Wall on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Clyde saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brileigh Dailey, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base. Dailey is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played.

Clyde's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Jim Ned, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

Jim Ned might still be hurting after the 19-5 loss they got from Clyde in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
