Basketball Recap: Tekoa Academy Comes Up Short

Tekoa Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 49-7 defeat at the hands of the Good Samaritan HomeSchool Hornets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knight this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-4 back in November of 2024.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chloe Daniel out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. Those 14 points gave Daniel a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zoey White, who went 6 of 8 en route to 12 points.

Tekoa Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Good Samaritan HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Tekoa Academy has already played their next contest (against Bob Hope), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Good Samaritan HomeSchool will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
