            Basketball Recap: Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South Tigers vs. Central Falcons        
        
		
        
        
            Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South suffered their closest  loss since January 23, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Central Falcons by a score of  70-67. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in February of 2024.
 Despite the loss, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South still got an impressive performance from   Noah Cross, who  posted 19  points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cayden Winstead, who  scored 11 points and six  boards.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Joshua Harper, who  had 22  points. The dominant performance gave  Harper a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was  Eric Kenon, who  put up 15  points.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost four of their last five contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record  this season. That  patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Central, their win  ended  an  11-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 1-8.
