Volleyball Recap: Grapevine Falls to Hockaday in First Game of Season

Grapevine unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Hockaday Daisies by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Grapevine sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 18-25, 25-20, 16-25, 15-10.

Grapevine wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Giddings on the 14th. As for Hockaday, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Highland Park on the 14th.
