Softball Recap: New Brockton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Samson last Friday, New Brockton came back down to earth. The New Brockton Gamecocks lost 17-1 to the Ashford Yellowjackets on Monday. If the Gamecocks were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in March of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

New Brockton dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ashford, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

New Brockton has already played their next game, a 15-0 loss against Geneva on the 4th. As for Ashford, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Dale County on the 4th.
