The Crowley Gent's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They were outmatched by Abbeville on the road and fell 90-26. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crowley in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Crowley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alaysia Arvie. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. That was a full 80.8% of Crowley's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Crowley has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Abbeville, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Erath the next time they take the court. Abbeville will head out to face Erath at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Crowley will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
