Football Recap: James Logan Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It looked like the Kentucky Derby when James Logan challenged Monte Vista on Friday. The Colts were outmatched by the Mustangs and fell 42-7. The Colts were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Several Colts players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeramiyah Cotton, who rushed for 88 yards, and also picked up 33 receiving yards.

Monte Vista's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ian Ondricek led the charge by throwing for 219 yards and four touchdowns while completing 87% of his passes. Those 219 passing yards gave Ondricek a new career-high. Torin Dunphy was in the mix as well, providing Monte Vista with two TDs.

James Logan's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Monte Vista, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

James Logan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-7 victory against Castro Valley on the 26th. As for Monte Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 59-36 win against College Park on the 26th.
