Volleyball Recap: Omaha Christian Takes a Loss

Omaha Christian lost against Ralston back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Guardians fell 3-1 to the Rams. While the Guardians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 25-17 in the first set.

Omaha Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 26-24, 25-16, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Omaha Christian still got an impressive performance from Emma Wheelock, who had 22 digs and four aces. Wheelock is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Omaha Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. Ralston's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-24.

Omaha Christian has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Blair on the 14th. As for Ralston, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Beatrice on the 14th.
