Softball Recap: Springfield Renaissance vs. Hampden Charter School of Science

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Commerce, Springfield Renaissance was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Hampden Charter School of Science as they made off with a 26-6 win. The victory was some much needed relief for Springfield Renaissance as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Kaylee Buzzell was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single hit and allowed only two earned runs while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
