Basketball Recap: Racine Lutheran's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Racine Lutheran hadn't done well against St. Joseph recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Racine Lutheran Crusaders strolled past the St. Joseph Lancers with points to spare, taking the game 90-75. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Lancers are ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Racine Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for St. Joseph, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Racine Lutheran will square off against St. Thomas More at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Racine Lutheran's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for St. Joseph, they will face off against Martin Luther at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Martin Luther knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully St. Joseph likes a good challenge.
