Basketball Game Preview: Buckeye Central Bucks vs. Ridgedale Rockets

The Buckeye Central Bucks just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Ridgedale Rockets at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Buckeye Central lost 62-39 to Colonel Crawford on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bucks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 676th, while the Eagles are ranked 117th).

Meanwhile, Ridgedale waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 62-51 win over the Polar Bears.

Ridgedale's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Buckeye Central, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8.

Buckeye Central came up short against Ridgedale in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 41-35. Can Buckeye Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
