Basketball Recap: 17 Straight Home Wins for Panguitch

Panguitch proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 22) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Valley Buffalos 50-47. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcats sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Panguitch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maddix Johnson, who posted 19 points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds Johnson has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Remme Chappell, who put up eight points and 12 boards.

Panguitch's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points over those games. As for Valley, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.
