Basketball Recap: St. Augustine Prep Comes Up Short

St. Augustine Prep was the 48-26 winner over Holy Spirit when they last played one another back in February of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Hermits took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans on Saturday.

St. Augustine Prep has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Holy Spirit, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Coming up, St. Augustine Prep will take on Mainland Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hermits will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Holy Spirit, they will face off against Pleasantville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
