Soccer Game Preview: Bartow vs. Frostproof

The Bartow Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to face off against the Frostproof Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bartow will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

While Bartow didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-8-2), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Mulberry 6-0 on Monday. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Frostproof was forced to settle for a draw. They and McKeel Academy finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Monday.

Bartow pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six games. With that draw, Frostproof's record moves to 4-5-1.

Everything went Bartow's way against Frostproof when the teams last played back in December of 2019, as Bartow made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bartow since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
