Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln Southwest vs. Gretna East

The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks will face off against the Gretna East Griffins at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are still undefeated after six games, but that won't be the case come Monday.

Lincoln Southwest had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the seven-goal drubbing they dealt Grand Island on Saturday. The Silver Hawks never let the Islanders get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. It was an even better day for Kianna Perez as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Gretna East made easy work of Gretna on Saturday and carried off a 7-1 victory. Gretna East might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

Gretna East's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those four contests. As for Lincoln Southwest, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
