Softball Recap: Michigan Center Wins Going Away Against Addison

Michigan Center had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Addison on Friday. The Cardinals' pitchers stepped up to hand the Panthers a 14-0 shutout. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Cardinals this season.

The win got Michigan Center back to even at 4-4. As for Addison, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Michigan Center will take on Vandercook Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Jayhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.63 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Addison, they will challenge Jonesville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
