Basketball Recap: UIC College Prep Wins Going Away Against Providence-St. Mel + How To Watch

UIC College Prep had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down the Providence-St. Mel Knights 63-48 on Tuesday. For the Firecats, this counts as revenge for the 53-41 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

James Hodrick Jr. was a one-man wrecking crew as he shot 75% from the field en route to 22 points and seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Coleman, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 14 points.

UIC College Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-27 loss against Aurora Christian on the 26th. As for Providence-St. Mel, they have also already played their next matchup, a 66-53 defeat against North Chicago on the 26th.
