Basketball Recap: Bedford Comes Up Short

Bedford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Acton-Boxborough The Revolution. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the The Revolution are ranked 71st).

Bedford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Acton-Boxborough, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bedford will challenge Cambridge Rindge & Latin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Acton-Boxborough has already played their next matchup (against Concord-Carlisle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
