Softball Recap: Adams Central Drops Season-High Score on Angola

Adams Central scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 25-21 to the Angola Hornets. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (13), the Flying Jets still had to take the loss.

Izzy Isch stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Rodeffer, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Adams Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Angola, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adams Central will welcome Bluffton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Flying Jets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Angola, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Churubusco at 5:30 p.m. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
