Basketball Game Preview: Hanover Central Wildcats vs. Washington Township Senators

The Hanover Central Wildcats will take on the Washington Township Senators at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hanover Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Hanover Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 68-51 victory over Hammond Bishop Noll on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hanover Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bridget Noel, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. That's the most boards Noel has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sienna Antkiewicz, who went 9 of 14 on her way to 19 points.

Hanover Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Washington Township beat Morgan Township 51-38 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Senators.

Washington Township is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Hanover Central, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Everything came up roses for Hanover Central against Washington Township when the teams last played back in December of 2015, as the team secured a 62-31 victory. Will Hanover Central repeat their success, or does Washington Township have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
