Basketball Recap: Sand Creek Takes a Loss

Sand Creek played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 45-25 to the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks. The loss continues a trend for the Scorpions in their matchups with the Red-Tailed Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Cheyenne Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maya Stepan, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Judi, who posted six points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

Sand Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Cheyenne Mountain, their record now sits at 9-14.

Sand Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they will face off against Glenwood Springs on Wednesday.
