Soccer Recap: Wheatmore Takes a Loss

If Wheatmore was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Eastern Randolph on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors came up short against the Mount Tabor Spartans on Thursday, falling 7-1. Wheatmore were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than four goals in the three contests prior), but Mount Tabor's defense proved too tough.

Wheatmore's goal came courtesy of Natalie Bowman, who's now up to 42 this season.

Wheatmore moved to 10-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Mount Tabor, they pushed their record up to 12-3-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Wheatmore has already played their next game, a 7-1 win against Southwestern Randolph on the 29th. As for Mount Tabor, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-0 victory against Glenn on the 28th.
