Soccer Game Preview: NorthPointe Christian vs. Portland

The NorthPointe Christian Mustangs will face off against the Portland Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

NorthPointe Christian is headed into Tuesday's matchup following a draw, the team's first since September 9. Neither they nor Godwin Heights could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Portland walked away with it. They won by a goal and slipped past the Vikings 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for Portland as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Ben Stirton and Sawyer Dakin scored both of Portland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

NorthPointe Christian's draw makes their record 9-3-5 this season. As for Portland, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9-1.
