Basketball Game Preview: Western Reserve Blue Devils vs. Mineral Ridge Rams

Having just played yesterday, the Western Reserve Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Mineral Ridge Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Reserve knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Mineral Ridge likes a good challenge.

On Monday, Western Reserve beat Waterloo 57-47.

Meanwhile, Mineral Ridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 60-55 to McDonald. The Rams have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Western Reserve pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Mineral Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Western Reserve beat Mineral Ridge 55-44 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Western Reserve since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
