Preview: Thurston vs. Silverton
Thurston will go up against Silverton in continuing playoff action on Friday. Averaging 52.33 points per contest, the Thurston squad has been an offensive juggernaut in the playoffs, so hopefully Silverton's defense is prepared for a test.
Thurston ran circles around Wilsonville last week, and the extra yardage (474.10 yards vs. 78.20 yards) paid off. The Colts took their matchup with ease, bagging a 48-9 victory over Wilsonville. Wesley Kommer went supernova for Thurston as he rushed for 249 yards and five TDs on 21 carries.
Meanwhile, Silverton earned some more postseason success in their game last Friday. They made easy work of Scappoose and carried off a 48-14 win.
