            Softball Preview: Pittsfield Saukees vs. Rushville-Industry Rockets        
        
		
        
        
            The Pittsfield Saukees will venture away from home to  take on the Rushville-Industry Rockets  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Pittsfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6  runs per game  this season.
Pittsfield's pitching crew heads into the  match  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Wednesday. They blew past Griggsville-Perry 10-0. The  victory continues a trend for the Saukees in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now won five in a row.
Not much got past  Emma Wombles, who gave up just  three  hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Griggsville-Perry off the board.

 On the hitting side, Pittsfield got a  massive  performance out of  Kinlee Griggs, who  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Those  three  hits gave  Griggs a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kenley Gerard, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases and three  runs.
 Meanwhile, Rushville-Industry posted their closest  win since April 10th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia  5-4.
 Rushville-Industry has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Pittsfield, their record now sits at 13-5-1.
 Everything went Pittsfield's way against Rushville-Industry when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, as Pittsfield made off with  a  9-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saukees since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
