Soccer Recap: Empire Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westwood, Empire was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the ALA - Ironwood Warriors a 2-0 shutout.

Tinsley Walter was the driving force of Empire's attack as she scored both of Empire's goals, bringing her season total up to 11 goals.

Empire's win bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for ALA - Ironwood, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Empire face off against the Tanque Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for ALA - Ironwood, they will face off against Globe at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. ALA - Ironwood is facing Globe at the right time seeing as Globe is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
