Volleyball Recap: NCSSM: Morganton Takes a Loss

NCSSM: Morganton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots, falling 3-0.

NCSSM: Morganton took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-12, 25-21.

Shelby Ostrander was the offensive standout of the match as she had five aces and one assist. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024.

NCSSM: Morganton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Piedmont Community Charter, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. NCSSM: Morganton will challenge rival Mountain Island Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Piedmont Community Charter is set to face off against their familiar foe Sugar Creek Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
