Basketball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short at Home Against Crawford County

Greenville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 58-45 to the Crawford County Eagles on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 13 in a row.

Greenville's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Deshun Bradford, who posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Amorian McDowell, who scored four points.

The victory got Crawford County back to even at 1-1.

Greenville will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kendrick at 7:30 p.m. on the 21st. Crawford County has already played their next contest (against Rutland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
